Sunday afternoon he asked if I'd like to meet for drinks that evening and get to know each other so I did. We met at 7, stayed until and left only because they were closing. He walked me to my car, gave me a nice, lingering hug and said we need to do this again. When I got home I sent a text saying thank you he paid for everything and that it was great to meet him.
He replied saying how easy I was to talk to and we should go out again. I replied, definitely! He sent a smiley face back. That was it, nothing since but as of Tuesday night his OKC profile has been deleted, completely gone. That seems weird, don't you think?
No he's not married or anything like that, I know his last name, where he lives and we actually have some friends in common but never met before. BTW, we're both in our 40's. So sometimes its just as simple as that. He might like you so much that he made his profile inactive for now. Your description of your date sounds great. Why wait until he conatacts you first?
Ask him out! But, you texted with him, so he can still contact you, right? Don't worry about the profile. I think, in your shoes, which, I'm often in I would send him a friendly text like "I really enjoyed meeting you, are you free this weekend?
IF he doesn't get in touch with you, don't take it personally.
He may have had a great date, and really liked you, but might not truly be available for dating for reasons which you can imagine but may never know. I can't emphasize this enough.
